Today’s workforce ranges from Traditionalists to Baby Boomers, Gen X to Gen Y, to our youngest generation to enter the workforce, Gen Z. This engaging session will help participants gain an understanding about generational differences and learn practical techniques for how to effectively interact and manage each generation. Bill will present innovative training approaches you can use to improve your organization’s capabilities. In addition, participants will explore how the different generations view learning and skill development through technologies, classes and gaming.

 

Learner Objectives:

  • Understand each generation’s motivators, expectations, and learning styles
  • Learn how new technologies and online gaming is changing how learn and influencing how we teach
  • Develop techniques for creating a collaborative, multi-generational learning environment

About the Presenter: Bill Fournet

Bill Fournet is Founder and CEO of The Persimmon Group LLC, a management consulting group headquartered in Tulsa, OK, specializing in Leadership, Organizational Effectiveness, and Project Management. As a leader, Bill has led and helped improve initiatives within numerous major organizations including AT&T, IBM, Bank of Oklahoma, Williams, ONEOK, and several state governments. Bill is a leading authority on the topic of Generational Diversity, and he speaks frequently on this issue and the future of work. In 2011, The Persimmon Group was awarded the Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for its success as one of the leading small businesses in America. The Persimmon Group was also named in 2011 to the Inc. 500/5000 list for the U.S. Fastest Growing Companies. Bill earned a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and a master`s degree from Oklahoma State University. In 2010, he was named Small Business Person of the Year by Tulsa’s Metro Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as a Member, Board of Directors at Boy Scouts of America, Indian Nations. Bill and his wife, Christy, reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma with their three sons.
