Kim was an ATD Tulsa member from 2000 to 2008, rejoined in 2017, and is a Power Member. Kim has 33 years’ experience in the field of Talent Development. Kim has served on the board as newsletter publisher, VP of Marketing in 2020 and most recently as VP of Membership in 2021 & 2022. 

As a training professional, Kim has a great deal of experience in planning, developing, designing, and facilitating training for a wide variety of industries including energy and industrial sector, aerospace, combustion, oil and gas, telecommunications, credit and collections, and car rental.

Kim is certified in Instructional Design, Web-Based Training Design, and Course Evaluation from Langevin Training Services. In addition, she is certified to train in MBTI, Situational Frontline Leadership, 5 Levels of Leadership, Emotional Intelligence and Insight Personality Profile.

Kim was born and raised in Tulsa, OK and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University. She currently lives in Broken Arrow with her husband, Gary.  She has been married for 37 years (in June 2022).  She has 2 grown sons (Ryan and Sean) and 2 adorable grandchildren (Avery-9; Atticus-7). She enjoys spending time with her family and is frequently seen traveling east bound on HWY 412 to Rogers, AR to visit her grands.

Monika Turek is the Learning and Development Manager at HoganTaylor, a regional CPA firm in Tulsa, OK. In her role, Monika develops and implements firm-wide programming aimed at meeting employees where they are today and helping to elevate them to where they want to go within their career. She does this by coordinating leadership and professionalism training courses and programs throughout the year.

Tulsa City-County Library

Gary Cathey is the Training & Development Program Manager for the Tulsa City-County Library and the Health Services Superintendent for the 138th Medical Group of the Oklahoma Air National Guard. Gary has been an ATD member since 2007 and a Power Member since 2019. He is an HRCI certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) and a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force.

Gary’s professional experience ranges both the private and public sectors focusing on leadership development. At the Library, Gary oversees every aspect of talent development including onboarding, compliance, career advancement, knowledge management, and succession planning. For the Air Force, Gary oversees the readiness function ensuring all unit members keep their skills sharp and are ready to deploy in support of our nation at any moment.

Gary is a native Tulsan, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, and has returned to school to pursue a master’s degree in leadership at Northeastern State University.
